C A S E   S T U D Y

Working with celebrities can be a lot of fun and many chose Ibiza as a photo shoot location because it has all the right settings; beaches, sea views, swimming pools and luxury villas. Last summer I worked with Pete Wicks from ‘The Only Way is Essex’ again for the second year running for his 2018 calendar. My job as makeup artist is mainly to look after his trademark long locks, keep his skin looking fresh and also keep him cool in the crazy Ibiza heat. I use Dermalogica products on his skin to hydrate and refresh with a mini facial, followed by a neutral BB cream to give a light makeup coverage and a smooth skin finish. Pete has piercing blue eyes, that are totally natural. We use eyedrops to keep them sparkly white, which looks incredible in the shots. I use water spray and Paul Mitchell sea salt spray on his hair to keep it damp and combat frizz, it also helps to keep him cool. My last job as makeup artist is to keep his body oiled up for his topless shots. For this I use an oily sun screen spritz spray by Piz Buin which protects his skin from the sun, and creates an nice sheen to the skin, perfect for those open shirt ‘ab shots’!
