Colourful, textured, painted makeup is a style I love. I enjoy experimenting with colours, and the texture of painted brush strokes on the skin. I'm really inspired by makeup artist Alex Box, I absolutely love her work. I also like Francoise Nelly, a French knife-painter. So with these two artists in mind I setup a shoot here in Ibiza to play and experiment with colourful makeup, painted brush strokes, turning the face into an abstract work of art. I used a mixture of makeup mediums; water based facepaints, and MAC cosmetics chromacakes. I'm really pleased with the result, the makeup look was dramatic and colourful.
